Visitor Centre Launch hailed a success

The launch of the new Visitor Centre and Tea Room in Atherstone was a huge success with little space for manoeuvre.

People filled the White Hart House to see the Mayor of North Warwickshire Councillor Dominic Ferro cut the ribbon and officially announce the new Visitor Centre and White Hart Tea Room open.

The Mayor, Cllr Dominic Ferro, said “The Visitor Centre will encourage more people to find out about the diversity of this wonderful borough.  It will also attract people to the area benefiting the local community for all. I want to thank the volunteers that have given up their time to promote the Tea Rooms and Visitor Centre. Volunteering is something that keeps the borough moving and volunteers make such a difference to it.”

The Visitor Centre has been funded by Operation Footfall and is supported by the Volunteer Centre North Warwickshire. It is all completely run by volunteers.

White Hart House is based at the end of Long Street, Atherstone and is home to all three projects. The Volunteer Centre North Warwickshire and  Visitor Centre are open Monday – Friday 9:30am – 4:30pm and the White Hart Tearoom is open Monday – Friday 12pm – 3pm.
