Cooking, Confidence and Skills

Cooking Confidence project

Through this supported project people with visual impairments, learning disabilities and people who are unemployed will be able to access training and development opportunities to improve their knowledge, skills and experiences to become active members of their communities. Skills will include training in food hygiene, customer service, personal development, volunteering, basic skills and team building.

We run our very own tea room, based at White Hart House on Long Street, Atherstone. The Tea Room will act as a learning environment to give volunteers the chance to learn new skills and improve their confidence.

We are looking for volunteers who have visual impairments, learning disabilities and/or are unemployed to join this project. Could you benefit from this project?

We are also looking to recruit volunteers to act as mentors. These volunteers would support and assist others in gaining new skills. Could you spare a couple of hours a week to support others from your community?
