Volunteering is something that everyone can do and you can get involved for many different reasons including:

• to do something you really enjoy
• to make use of special interests or talents
• to learn new skills and new interests
• to meet new people and make new friends
• to find out more about a type of work you are considering as a career
• to gain valuable training / experience which may lead to paid work

Whatever your interests, wherever you live, whether you have a lot of time or a little. You can make a difference.

When you decide volunteering is for you, the first thing you should do is get in touch with us. We will help you decide what kind of work you want to do and the most suitable volunteering opportunities available for you.

There is no such thing as a typical volunteering opportunity. VCNW has opportunities for advice work, administration, work with animals, arts and crafts, shop work, work with children, older people, fundraising, driving, involving sport and outdoor and practical work like bricklaying or DIY.

VCNW can help you find an opportunity which best matches your needs and how you can make the most of volunteering.

In order to offer volunteers suitable placements, we ask everyone to complete a short registration form about themselves. These forms can be downloaded below and are available as Microsoft Word Documents. Once you have filled them out, please send or email them back to the Volunteer Centre to the addresses on the contact us page.
