Across the country there will be events celebrating the work volunteers do in their communities. In North Warwickshire two events are planned. The first will take place in Atherstone on Tuesday 4th June between 12:30 and 14:30. The event will be held at the Volunteer Centre on Long Street. There will be an exhibition with lots of information on volunteering opportunities that are available across the borough and the chance to talk to local organisations over free tea and homemade cake!
The second event of the week will see the Volunteer Centre head to Coleshill Town Hall. Volunteers from across the borough have been nominated by their organisations to receive a certificate of recognition from the Mayor of North Warwickshire as thanks for all the good work they do in their community. The event is by invitation only but if you can think of someone deserving of attending then please get in touch with the Volunteer Centre by calling 01827 717 073.
A third smaller event is also being held in Atherstone at the new Bromford Hub on Monday 3rd June between 13:00 and 15:00. The event will give those people with learning disabilities the chance to find volunteering opportunities suited to their needs. If you want to find out more pop in on June 3rd.
