The Polesworth based youngster is showing his paintings and sculptures throughout April in the centre’s volunteer run White Hart Tea Room.
Based at the bottom of Long Street in Atherstone, you’ll be able to see captivating pictures of Big Ben, a colourful Phoenix, as well as a portrait of Harry Potter character “Sirius Black”.
This time round the exhibition titled “Our Land of Fantasy” also includes sculptures – a Waterfall Clock with a fully working pendulum and a wire framed raven.
Daniel says “It’s great to be back at the Volunteer Centre. This exhibition will be my second and encompasses two big themes, which show through in my work – fantasy, magic, patriotism and British icons.
Daniel got into art at a young age. From five years old he always knew he wanted to be an artist or a magician. This is reflected in his work.
Publicity Officer Michelle Black says “We are really pleased to welcome Daniel back to the Volunteer Centre. We are always happy to support local artists. The space in the White Hart Tea Room is for local people to use free of charge and for the wider community to enjoy.”
The exhibition space is proving popular with displays. This year has already seen displays from a local photographer and the Ball Game Exhibition.
Daniel added “It’s great to have my work up in public. I’m heading to Birmingham City University in September to study Fine Art (Ba Hons), so I can continue my creative journey and keep following my dreams.”
The exhibition is open Monday – Friday 9.30 – 4.30pm with the tea room open 10 – 2pm. You can pop in and browse Daniel’s work and enjoy a cup of tea and a piece of cake at the same time.
