Pancakes will be on the menu next week at a volunteer run tea room in Atherstone.
The White Hart Tea Room volunteers will be getting out their frying pans and mixing up a batter in a bid to make some flipping good pancakes.
People in the town are being invited to pop in on Tuesday 4th March from 10am and taste one. With a variety of different fillings – chocolate, orange and lemon, you’ll also be supporting a local community project.
Based in the Volunteer Centre North Warwickshire at the bottom of Long Street, customers can also have a look at the popular Ball Game Exhibition.
Put together by the Friends of Atherstone Heritage, it will be on show until the end of March. There’ll be plenty of pictures from past games as well as a list of winners over the year.
The White Hart Tea Room is always looking for volunteers to help serve customers.
Centre Manager Martin Horner says “The tea room offers some great volunteering opportunities for people looking for work in the food industry. We offer customer service and food hygiene training which look great on a CV. We are a friendly, flexible team so give us a call on 01827 717073 if you are interested”.
The White Hart Tea room also offers a range of drinks, homemade soup and cakes. It is open Monday – Friday 10 – 2pm.
