A new I.T qualification is now available to North Warwickshire residents looking to gain new skills and prove to employers that they have the basic online skills needed to do the job.
The Volunteer Centre North Warwickshire is now offering an accredited City and Guilds entry level three qualification in “Online Basics.”
Adam Farrell, Development Coordinator said “This is a great opportunity for local people to access accredited training in their own borough. We know that nearly nine million people in the UK do not access the internet and that some of those nine million people live in North Warwickshire. Whether it’s for work, applying for jobs or just general browsing, everyone can benefit from basic online skills.”
You can find out more about the course by going along to the Volunteer Centre at the bottom of Long Street in Atherstone on Friday mornings.
They run a computer club between 10 – 12pm where people can sign up to do the City and Guilds course. People can also get help setting up an email account, filling in on line applications and using social media.
